More Praise on Raving is a sound and light installation, a multi-channel composition designed for four speaker heads, a subwoofer, and five video projectors.
The project was conceived in situ to unfold within a labyrinthine outdoor space made of concrete mazes. I wanted to offer viewers a visual and sonic experience that transports them into an ecstatic narrative universe, evoking the intangible atmospheres of raves. The work nuances alternative culture and the experience of clandestine parties, starting from a situated perspective. Inspired by sociologist McKenzie Wark's book Raving, the piece is structured in four movements, each bearing a title loosely borrowed from the researcher’s concepts. The title of the piece itself is a nod to the book’s preliminary chapter, composed of critical praises from various journalists—a way for me to honor her through this work.
